Who’s your pick to replace Schumer as Senate Minority Leader?

Thank you New York! Thank you Virginia! Thank you Pennsylvania! Thank you New Jersey!

Most of all, thank you Black folks, AGAIN!

Saw one like this at the protest and fell in love so I looked it up. Thank you, Gwen!
I saw a tragically AI-generated version of this poster, so I have recreated a 100% human-made version for all your protest sign needs.

One of the best things I've done for my mental health is to mute or turn off anything where he is speaking. I will see enough of it in print, I don't need to hear it.

I went to Ezra Klein‘s profile to unfollow him and am happy to report that I wasn’t following him to begin with.

This is inspiring. Thanks, JJ's dad!

May I be even a fraction as strong as E. Jean Carroll in the face of tyranny.

I see what you dead there, WSJ, you tease.

It’s an attempted coup. Call it that. Don’t stop calling it that. It’s not just a distraction, and we still want the Epstein files.

Waiting impatiently for the transition from “DO YOU CONDEMN HAMAS!? WELL, DO YOU!?” to “Do you condemn Israel’s genocide of Palestinians!? Well, do you?!” This seems the more logical question. Why are we here?! Of course we disagree with kidnapping and murder. It does not excuse genocide.

The Mamdani news brought me unexpected amounts of joy this morning. Then I saw this and my despair came back. We cannot wait for elections to solve the current plethora of crises.
People in wheelchairs are getting arrested right now in the Russell Senate Office Building in DC. They showed up to tell Congress not to cut their Medicaid, because they cant afford health care without it. If you look closely you can see the zip ties on their hands. #WeWontGetOverLosingMedicaid

So it’s the US and Israel against the world now, eh? I’m sure this will be fine.

This is a small, partial relief. I continue to be pleasantly surprised at how the courts are holding us together.
After ruling the NIH grant cuts were illegal yesterday, Judge Young, a Reagan appointee on the bench since 1985, ended the hearing with a blistering 15-minute speech.

I've cleaned up my notes — here are his remarks in full. 🧵
Judge rules against NIH grant cuts — and calls them discriminatory
The decision means that the US biomedical agency has to restore funding to hundreds of research projects, but the government will likely appeal.

4-year-old as the toilet started filling randomly: We should call a plunger. They would know what to do to fix our toilet.

I think about this a lot on my 45 - 60 minute commute to preschool every day and how quality of life is impacted by what transportation is available to you. I’d rather we improve public transit for everyone who needs and wants it than live closer in (although that would be nice too.)
OF COURSE cars suck, but so many white anti-car urbanists are folks with no concept of how existing public transit infrastructure makes it all but impossible to navigate the city safely with kids UNLESS you have a car.

ESPECIALLY if you aren't in a wealthy neighborhood.

And guess who that impacts.

I mean, that’s one way to label Biden’s cancer diagnosis… Seems a bit insensitive though.

Happy New Pope day, to those who celebrate.

Would it be too pretentious to change my style to “Jedi robes” at this point in my life? They look comfy yet stylish, and come with pockets. What else could I ask for?

Unintended consequences of embracing mediocre tech - the death of the planet.
Happy Earth Day! #earthday
Generative AI is melting our only planet.

Don’t use it.

ChatGPT wastes 10x the amount of water as Google.

And last year, Google was in talks to purchase 8 nuclear reactors in order to power their own AI.

This is not sustainable.

Stop using it today. It’s literal Earth Day.

I have really mixed feelings about this but there is so much truth in it. We all do what we need to/can at max level for as long as we can.
Dear white folks.. you may feel a way about it but uh yall might have to keep the protests

Because if they don’t send cops to yours?

this is a great way to build momentum
