Republicans rushed tax cuts for the wealthy but delayed their cuts to Medicaid and food assistance. Why?

So they don't kick in until after the midterms.

Help spread the word.

Only a person easily bribed would think that everyone else is easily bribed. $1776 to the soldiers. $1500 to you, to cover a lifetime of medical expenses. $2000 tariff refund.
A man with billions of dollars thinks you can be bought for 2 grand.

It wasn't long ago that women were forced to have a male co-signer to get a credit card or a home loan.

Now, the Trump administration wants to end protections against such discrimination.

@kingcountymetro.bsky.social simple question with no hidden agenda: are you still sanitizing buses frequently? I ask because 9/10 of rides result in my catching a bug. Note, I'm wearing gloves so it's not a touching services issue.

Today, the House of Representatives voted to rescind previously approved federal funding for public media. Federal support for public media costs just $1.60 per person each year. Eliminating this funding would have a devasting impact on local journalism, video series, events and more.

In case it gets lost in the onslaught of news, today PBS and NPR are defending themselves before Congress.

If you’ve never seen this clip of Mr. Rogers advocating for PBS funding, I urge you to watch the full ~6 minutes. It’s incredibly powerful.

Here’s to the helpers, indeed.

Now I look back and laugh at the thought of having enough time to clean my house every Thursday.
