Interesting that Trump is now claiming El Salvador's running a "Terrorist Prison Camp" for the USA, when it has always very obviously been a concentration camp for "illegal aliens" (tho' we don't know for certain b/c there was no due process to establish their status* or alleged crimes)...

Typical Trump behavior: word has it he wants to fire all the people who deliver bad economic news to him, like it's THEIR fault.
On the bright side, he reportedly also plans to fire Pam Bondi & Kash Patel, b/c they're too embarrassing even for him...

Not that it's funny, but Trump's term really has become an Orwellian sitcom. He makes an absolute policy statement, gets pushback, then makes a totally different statement that's suddenly what he'd decided on all along...

To the extent Trump even has an economic philosophy, it's that the rest of the world NEEDS the USA & we don't need them so we get to call the shots. But they don't, we do & him playing chicken w/our economy is just convincing them to make other arrangements that don't include us... /1

If Pete Hegseth - like any other federal official, elected or appointed - cares about ANYTHING more than defending the Constitution, he declares himself unfit for his job & needs to step down immediately.
