Looks like LLMs are *very* vulnerable to attack via poetic allusion: "curated poetic prompts yielded high attack-success rates (ASR), with some providers exceeding 90% ..."

Yours Truly is feeling a little maudlin today.

Part of this is the demand for rest.
Part of this is the demand to Take Care of Business.
Part of this is the demand of grieving.
Part of this is the demand for community & connection during these absolutely banana crackers times.

I went home to Southeast L.A. to cover the immigration raids there. And this week I've covered the raids in my adopted home of NC. Nothing--and I mean NOTHING--will give you hope like speaking to immigrant organizers and locals fighting back.

Breaking: An Epstein survivor just silenced press conference attendees when she delivered the following remarks:

“Today we stand in a moment that will decide whether our government belongs to the American people, or to those who prey on them.”

And just like that, it’s time for bed.
It seems Fendi agrees. We’re both awaiting transport to our sleeping quarters for the evening.

Goodnight, y’all. 🛌😴
This is Fendi. He is seen here demonstrating the internationally acknowledged sign language for politely requesting uppies. 13/10 would pick him up immediately (TT: isthat_jojo)

Yours Truly is caffeinated + had a good sleep + is avoiding writing awkward scenes in Spec Fic + has Ska queued up + was told to take A Weekend...

So, I have time today.

As usual, this is gonna come out like it's gonna come out.

This right here is an unhinged TL, not The Atlantic.
I don’t mean this in like a cynical back-biting way. I’m just increasingly unsure what that would even be. What do the pro-AI-but-not-like-this people want it to be in the world?

those of us laid off from Teen Vogue were really fortunate to complete our fundraising goal — the laid-off staffers at VIBE deserve the same support, as Black media outlets and journalists continue to be targeted and discriminated against in “austerity” measures
It was announced on October 16, 2025 that VIBE was "joining forces" with Rolling Stone. As a result, the majority of VIBE employees were laid off. If you have the means to give, this team could use the support! www.gofundme.com/f/support-vi...

May her memory continue to be a blessing.

I am honored to have known her through her work and may her fierce legacy continue. <3
Thank you Alice for being my friend and comrade. You have been a beacon, a badass crip auntie who modelled incredible boundaries and offered the world such incisive wisdom and grace. We are all better for having known Alice.

I don’t want to formulate words yet, but my friend Alice Wong, @sfdirewolf.bsky.social of the Disability Visibility Project, has passed.

Here are the words she left behind:

OH BOY HOWDY.

I mean, folks have been hollering about image manipulation and/or extortion for A Hot Minute.* **

Both parties should support this. Using AI to generate a video of a candidate saying something he didn’t say should be illegal. Especially since many voters think it is real. I will condemn any candidate from either party who does this.

In this US-ian War on Women && our rights to self-determination, anyone of childbearing age is a Conscientious Objector.

I mean, have we learned *nothing* since the original tech bubble burst?

I will argue this goes back ten years, not five.
BURRY won’t let up — now arguing that Oracle and Meta are overstating earnings by understating depreciation:

“.. By 2028, $ORCL will overstate earnings 26.9%, $META by 20.8%, etc.”
