You could call this poetic justice, that the university that did more to foster extreme neoliberalism than any other is now being punished by that very ideology coming home to them, except that the UChicago economics department will be protected at all costs. It's the others who will suffer.
The University of Chicago has a debt of over $6 billion, against an endowment of $10 billion. They played with crypto. That's more than irresponsible.
Their board of trustees contains a surprising number of people regarded as financial geniuses.

I couldn’t think of a faster way to bring about a return of anti-American sentiment in South Korea than Trump trying to do this for Yoon Suk Yeol. Sadly it’s what bozos like Gordon Chang are trying to make happen.

Después de pensarlo bastante, decidí abandonar Duolingo. ¿La razón? El objetivo que motivaba su existencia inicial ha desaparecido por completo. Hoy lo único que se encuentra es publicidad invasiva casi como spam que pone el aprendizaje en segundo plano.
En momentos en que intento tomar apuntes a mil por hora en clase de chino –y dejo de prestar atención–, entiendo por qué el rey Sejong decidió inventar un alfabeto para el coreano 😅
