I've been an educator for more than 20 yrs now (longer when I count the days teaching my dolls & Weeble Wobbles) and I struggle with having my career dictate my sense of purpose and self. Today I'm understanding that it is a calling but the classroom doesn’t define it or me.

My partner loves the book Goldfinch, so I taught myself how to do fore edge painting and gifted this to him for a birthday. The gilded edges make it so the painting is revealed when the pages are positioned just right.
