This is the kind of forceful intrusion into people’s lives that government should PROTECT us from.

Rights are unalienable, and are not gifts from government.

How does deporting a mom who had legal status for years make us safer?

The Trump administration should reverse course.

She owns Tacos El Fluffy with her son—a U.S. Navy veteran.

Her work visa has been revoked—forced to self deport by end of month.

Cato’s amicus brief by Laura Bondank, Brent Skorup, and Matthew Cavedon argues that letting police film a home for ten months without a warrant, simply because one angle was partially exposed, guts core Fourth Amendment protections.

Federal policy has promoted homeownership for nearly a century.
But data show renting and investing often yield higher long-term returns—and far less risk.

It’s time to let individuals decide, not Washington.
Homeownership and Wealth: Why Policymakers Should Stop Subsidizing Risk
Policymakers do not have objective reasons for tilting the market in favor of buying versus renting. They should allow people to decide for themselves whether and when they wish to buy or rent.
