Aliens has some great scares: the swarm of xenomorphs crawling along the ceiling, the xenomorph rising out of the water behind Newt, or really any scene with a door opening or closing. But the worst is Bishop crawling through that pipe. It's just unbearable. I can't even watch it.

Is anyone watching Pluribus? It's been years since I loved a new series this much. The best contemporary science fiction series since Severance, maybe even Stranger Things?

So I had a lucid dream where I made up a superhero who could return lost or stolen things via reused plastic food containers. Not to toot my own horn, but I think this would be a more effective superhero than Batman.

I got my COVID and flu shots, and I can feel those nanobots flowing through my veins. I got groceries at the same time and they're noticeably lighter. The pharmacist said 3, maybe 4 more vaccines and the superpowers will kick in.

I've been listening to some early White Zombie after reading that Kurt Cobain, Iggy Pop, and Thurston Moore were fans. (They even opened for the Circle Jerks!) White Zombie's debut album, Soul-Crusher, was released about two months before Nirvana started recording Bleach.

I just finished reading Kurt Vonnegut's The Sirens of Titan. It's a weird and wild romp, and so very Vonnegut-ian. Also expected, there's a wonderful moral: "a purpose of human life, no matter who is controlling it, is to love whoever is around to be loved."

My only Ozzy Osbourne story is an anticlimactic one about how I almost saw him live in 1998 at Float Rite Park in Somerset, Wisconsin, where Ozzfest and Warped Tour combined for the only time ever.

So I tried this frozen pizza with a "garlic cheese sauce" under the cheese. That sounds nice in principle, but it had this gel-like texture and there was far too much of it. Like eating a garlic Gushers pizza.

I finally finished a project I'd started years ago: carving a forearm contour into my Les Paul Junior. It looks terrible but feels great! Juniors were never known for their looks so that's fine with me.
