For the past 25 years, China has been the primary driver of rising global carbon emissions. That could finally be changing. I dig into the numbers, the politics, and the implications in my latest Forbes article. www.forbes.com/sites/rrapie...
China’s Carbon Plateau: A Turning Point Or A Temporary Pause?
China’s carbon emissions have flattened for 18 months, raising the possibility that the world’s largest emitter is nearing its long-anticipated peak. Here’s what it means.

As a journalist and emerging public historian, I spent much of the past week reading through transcripts of oral histories made and collected by residents of Kerr County, Texas – where flash floods killed more than 100 people this month.

There’s one recording that stood out to me. 🧵

This kind of thing happens via humans on the internet all the time but, like most issues with AI, it has taken something that was a problem before and turned it into an instant tidal wave of nonsense.

Good news at Beckley Travel Plaza. DC America charging station will be ready soon. Looks to me all that is needed is final commissioning and landscaping/clean-up. The transformer is installed with a green inspector's tag, and all eight DC charge dispensers are installed.
