If you need to practice nuking beyond-a-doubt trashbag accts (*and* their bad faith followers list w/Blockenheimer) then this is "instructional tee ball league" levels of instablock.

Since I love specific examples, here's some examples of cool story things you can mechanize:
- what characters want
- how and when to end a scene
- how and when to end a story
- what choices characters have to make
- how and when characters' tragic backstories rear their ugly heads
In the new Quinns Quest review of Slugblaster, Quinns says he thinks rpg folks are largely shit at telling stories. Paraphrasing: "We have spent decades arguing over dice systems, XP, world building. We've spent hardly any time on what makes a good character or the shape stories traditionally take."

To all the writers and creatives stuck with writer's block, I'm rooting for you! After taking a long break from a project, the solution to an issue that had been plaguing me just popped into my head. Sending epiphanies your all's way💙

I wonder how many other ttrpg makers got into this hobby because they didn't like certain parts of another ttrpg and their homebrew grew out of control? One that bugs me is when there's not much variety in choice, or just one objectively best choice which limits creativity.

"Some say the end of the Old World was inevitable. Those who know the truth dare not speak it, as any old enough to remember the bygone world are wise enough to fear it." -The opening history of Heritage.

When knowledge of the past is dangerous, ignorance is as much a shield as it is a weakness.

Finally opening up about my ttrpg, "Heritage: The Scarlet Chain." It's a medieval fantasy with a focus on the power (magical or otherwise) your character inherits. I'll be sharing lore blurbs and insights. Criticism is totally welcome and I hope you all enjoy 💙
