I would prefer a world where all I had to talk about was my dogs, building models, board games, working in veterinary medicine, and textile crafts… instead of screaming into the void about our rights. Sorry, and Hello.

Long time no post. Life has settled into a groove, I graduated vet tech school and work at a lovely little clinic. @pikorito.bsky.social and I are working on getting @dogatemybookreport.bsky.social back up and running. Everything is working out ok!

Been feeling the larp itch again now that I’m done with school and have a normal work schedule and I started researching games near my new city… the one that looks most appealing is running right this very weekend. Alas!

Today the damn broke regarding everything going on in the world and my mental state, when a very nice kid in my class who is kind to everyone said I was annoying. So I cried in the stairwell for ten minutes before wiping my face off and scrubbing in for surgery.

While I do understand that most people who use “girly-pop” as a generic honorific for a human mean it as gender neutral term, tonight when I got a “and have a nice night girly-pop” from a cashier I felt even more chilling dysphoria than when I get “ma’am”-ed.

i think 'be cautious and know when the fuck to keep it zipped' is something a lot of people online who have never had a need to do so before are gonna need to learn about real fuckin' fast

I feel hollow and empty today. It feels like all of our high school bullies collectively got together and gained power and are now fighting back against the idea of being told that they have to be a baseline of kind to other human beings.

So much to say:
-With the social media shakeups happening now we will be pivoting to this as one of our primaries.
-Host Wren is very close to done with their certification program and we plan on getting our new season rolling soon as a result!
