Long time no post. Life has settled into a groove, I graduated vet tech school and work at a lovely little clinic. @pikorito.bsky.social and I are working on getting @dogatemybookreport.bsky.social back up and running. Everything is working out ok!

Had my first day where I didn’t have school or work since June. So I took Stella for a walk at a park, which had some pretty great views of the city. She was happy to get out and sniff stuff.

I help maintain the local little free library in my neighborhood and often people will take the books out and toss them on the ground we pick them up and put them back. Today on my way to work someone had done this. I opted not to rescue it. This time the vandals had it right.

Now that I’ve finished the two that I never completed, moving on to a pattern I’m excited about!
Also my first attempt at dyeing Aida. It came out more uniform than I wanted, was going for a really sloppy aged look, and wanted to see more of the grey but I didn’t crinkle it enough in the dye bath.

This is the first cross stitch project I ever started, about ten years ago. I gave up on it because it was pretty boring. I’ve been working on finishing abandoned projects this year so I finally did the last two rows! Now I’m putting it in my bathroom and going back to more interesting patterns!

Realized I was not making enough progress for my next book club read via the physical version so I got the audiobook out of the library and the narrator was an extremely pleasant surprise!

I finally finished this guy! I’ve been working on this pattern off and on for some time now. I really like how all the colors turned out on a black background. I can see so many mistakes I made though. Alas. Learning!

I finally finished this guy! I’ve been working on this pattern off and on for some time now. I really like how all the colors turned out on a black background. I can see so many mistakes I made though. Alas. Learning!
