If you thought the US was still a democracy based on the law...
This is a massive, history making abuse of your power. It will define your legacy and one day you will come to regret punishing free speech and trying to destroy democracy.

Thoughts and prayers. Right? That's the appropriate response for yet another school shooting? Not sure what we say about the shooting of someone who advocates for open gun access with deaths as acceptable collateral damage.

The orange Cheeto. Everything about him is laughable. Reminds me of Hetley Lamar in Blazing Saddles. And ICE is in there too (German soldiers)

It isn't until the 26th paragraph that there is mention that what Trump is doing is being challenged as illegal. And it accepts Trump's stated rationale to act.

Here is what I think: Trump is illegally deploying the military in blue cities to set the stage to interfere with the 2026 elections.

Police officers don’t wear masks. Judges don’t hide their identity.

Why does Trump’s immigration force hide who they are? It’s just a mechanism to get away with illegality and immorality. A tactic of authoritarianism.

Trump promised to release the Epstein files. Now his administration claims they don’t exist, even as top officials hint otherwise. So why the cover-up? Contrarian Publisher Norm Eisen and Gabriel Lezra explain.

Final vote. 50-50. VP breaks the tie.

One single GOP Senator could have stopped this abomination. Saved millions of parents from watching their child go hungry. Saved the lives destroyed when Medicaid disappears.

They will all live forever with the horror of this bill.

So a president can create a nation-wide policy that has immediate and profound implications in people's lives across the entire nation and a judge can deem that policy to be unconstitutional, but ONLY unconstitutional in the geographic area the court represents?

This is going to go well.

It’s good to calmly, clearly restate norms like this. All the more so when they are being broken, we have to reaffirm that they exist, and that we will return society to them.
Generally speaking, the President of the United States should never call for anyone to be fired from their private-sector job. It's an abuse of his public power over a much less powerful private citizen.
