Sacramento Northern? Interurban. Pittsburgh Railways? Light Rail. Bottom left: Pacific Electric? Interurban. Key System? Light rail. LA's A Line, despite being almost 58 miles long, is a light rail.

In an update to the Northwest Indiana RDA’s Strategic Plan this week, the RDA states it intends to explore extensions to the South Shore Line along the West Lake Corridor, including Lowell and Crown Point, and an additional branch to Valpo.
