Is there any interest in starting a #booksky book club? Does one already exist? If not, I'd love to host! We could have people vote for the monthly book. Then we can discuss it in the comments of a different post. Thoughts? 📚💙

It's been quite something to watch supposedly 'patriotic' British newspapers actively cheerleading on a foreign administration that is openly working against our interests.

A single 400-year-old ancient oak produces 234,000 litres of oxygen a year while soaking up carbon dioxide, and can support more than 2,000 species of bird, insect, fungus, and lichen. Nature is amazing - we need more of it, not less. Please repost if you agree 🌳

Just like much of the furore this week, here is an example of a law passed 4 years ago and the Tories did nothing with it. Within months of us being in power we delivered the scheme because we are about actual actions and real outcomes. They talked we walked. www.burytimes.co.uk/news/2484314...

I listened to Alastair Campbell (RIP podcast), talking about trying to understand far right, populist voters. We who claim to be liberals, need to try to understand why people who believe they are suffering, vote for billionaires who are unlikely to serve their interests in the long term.

Does anyone have a contact for Ann ? Would love to discuss with her the possibility of partnering with her to publish her cartoons exclusively on @bluesky
Jeff Bezos never wanted this cartoon to become public.

He killed it, and as a result, pulitzer prize editorial cartoonist Ann Telnaes quit.

Make sure everyone sees this cartoon.

I miss when shows were at least 12 episodes. Now they're only 6?! That's barely any time for character 😕

Snares are still used across England despite bans in Scotland & Wales. These cruel traps kill 1.7M+ animals yearly, often targeting foxes & badgers. Protect The Wild is calling for a full UK-wide ban. Share if you agree it’s time to end this suffering!
