Adjacent to this, more people need to know that artists, authors, zine makers, etc, are all paying for their tables (and stock, hotels, travel, food) to vend at conventions. They aren't staff, they aren't earning an hourly wage to be there, they're paying to be there.
i didn't realize people didn't know, but as far as I'm aware, yes, hugos and nebulas finalists do still have to pay to attend the award ceremony

As much as I love art of Kim Dokja sleeping on Yoo Joonghyuk, I wish there was more of the reverse. Kim Dokja casually reading on his phone, hand on Yoo Joonghyuk's hair as Yoo Joonghyuk cuddles him in his sleep. Fully relaxed. At peace. Domestic. No fronts this time.

🎵 has a tool that imports all your Spotify liked songs and playlists (and does it in approx five mins)
💵 pays artists 2-3x better
Would recommend! Haven't had an issue with much music being missing at all.
