I'm not against Dokjoong at all I just have a very specific flavor I enjoy, and also being a Dokjoong main means you primarily see Kim Dokja as the top and I just don't agree.

I'm not against Dokjoong at all I just have a very specific flavor I enjoy, and also being a Dokjoong main means you primarily see Kim Dokja as the top and I just don't agree.

My favorite thing is learning that for the longest time on Solo Leveling AO3, Sung Jinwoo/Kim Dokja was the most popular ship in the fandom.

Like, I'm being honest here. When I play with my Barbies (my ships), I always keep in mind that 1. How I play with my Barbies may not be the same as others and 2. How I play with my Barbies has no effect on canon. And I don't WANT it to be (unless the source material is REALLY
I'm someone who likes to keep a pretty firm boundary between my fanon and canon. This means my ships (unless clearly romantic in the show) stay separated from the canon of the series in my mind, allowing space for other interpretations.

Rereading ORV just reconfirms that Yoo Joonghyuk genuinely views his companionship with Kim Dokja as some kind of monogamy because he has yet to call anyone except Kim Dokja his companion (in the meaningful companion way).

Yoo Joonghyuk canonically has a way of telling who is a "Main Character" and is hostile toward them because he knows Kim Dokja has a thing for them. For example, every version of himself, the MC from TWATF (Side Story), and even Jang Hayoung. +

I respect Beta Kim Dokja and agree that would canonically suit him more. However, if I wanted to read about a normal-ish dude with normal-ish parts, I wouldn't be specifically seeking out A/B/O fics. I'll just read a werewolf fic or smth. Give me Omega Kim Dokja.
