Companies should start listing the Trump tariff tax at the bottom of receipts with state/federal/local taxes rather than rolling it up in the price listed on the shelf. People need to see what it would be had the orange Cheeto wasn’t purposely manipulating the market and destroying our economy.

1. As someone who sources and imports medical products for acute care hospitals and ASC’s- there is no doubt that these tariffs are going to shock the economy. Most companies don’t have the margin to spare and thus prices are going to have to go up. That’s not just for consumer goods.

My 15-year-old is so anxious about the state of things in the U.S. right now that she’s packing ‘go bags,’ just in case we need to leave in a hurry. I had to remind myself that she is only controlling what she can control with this escalating threat to all of our lives and livelihoods. Scary times.
