Idk maybe hot take but if you brand something a AAAA game and charge 70+ for it, it shouldn't be defended as having engaging mechanics but no endgame. If you want mechanics and low polish go indie but if your claiming to be above everyone else I expect every aspect of the loop to be posh

Been depressed recently and the already low job satisfaction absolutely doesn't help. I just want to zone out for like a month but it's not really realistic. Just gotta keep it pushing, those classroom systems aren't going to restart them selves (but only because I'm not allowed to automate)

Fucking credit scores. I've worked very hard to get mine up but it's stuck in the mid 700s because I don't have a car/house and it's still "young" aka less then a decade. Insane system.

The term "Luddite" as a pejorative synonym for "technophobe" was a technocrat PR coup; that's not what Luddites were about. They were a labour movement fighting to give workers control over technologies which were advancing w/o oversight and rapidly automating them out of their jobs. Sound familiar?

So I've been thinking through best ways to bring narrative action to a computer game without the clunky interface that is a text adventure. My main idea is to use like word tags, like create a dictionary with word association so things like "pirate" or "sailor" would have a lot of cross reference
