We turn the faucet out of habit. Count the bottles of water in case we forget the number. We are settled into problems, pulling them under our chins, tucked in tight. We make do & mend, the hours marked & vanquished. Dreams welcomed where we can finally escape & fly.

„Sometime you don’t know who
are your friends.
Sometimes they are there all the time,
but you walk right past them
and don’t notice that they like you in a special way.
And then you think you don’t have any friends.“

The witch works with the season. When the year begins its slow striptease, she reads the language of the trees' wooden bones. Reads tomorrow in a fall of phyllomancy. When birds come to harvest high berries, auspicy is her share. – #EmilyCBanting, 1982 #WitchSky

In calm or stormy weather;
To cheer one on the tedious way,
To fetch one if one goes astray,
To lift one if one totters down,
To strengthen whilst one stands."

I think I fell in love with her, a little bit. Isn't that dumb? But it was like I knew her. Like she was my oldest, dearest friend. The kind of person you can tell anything to, no matter how bad, and they'll still love you, because they know you.

The Planning Bill is back in Parliament today.‼️

From the start, it’s been controversial: risking damage to precious wildlife and habitats.

Peers reduced some of those risks.

Now MPs get to vote: keep those protections, or strip them out.
