BREAKING — Nearly all employees at the US Institute of Peace (USIP) received an email tonight informing them they were fired effective immediately, multiple staffers confirmed with me.
Just a few HR and IT staffers are being kept on to assist DOGE’s illegal dismantling of the independent nonprofit.

Last week, we reached 100,000 patients as part of our medical debt relief program.
I’m excited to announce that already we’ve alleviated this burden for more Illinoisans.
As of today, an additional 170,000 Illinoisans will have their debt erased — relieving $345 million.

They're doing what they always do and trying to twist people's understanding of the phrase by using it wrongly, over and over.
Did the same thing with "quid pro quo" and "insurrection".
It's projection, and it works on people who aren't paying attention, even if it seems stupid and obvious to us.

Let's recognize the victory in getting them to say the words "Constitutional Crisis." That's no small thing. Their approach depends on everyone believing this is just the normal shit a President does. It's not. Our nation is in crisis, and they just admitted it.
