this reminds me of one of my most joyous days at a coffee shop. i put googly eyes on EVERYTHING that somewhat resembled a face. the best was the coffee grinder/dispenser (video isn’t loading so enjoy pictures)
An espresso “knock box” (black rubber insert into the counter with a bar in the middle to knock used coffee grounds into). There’s googly eyes on the top so it looks like a mouth. Metal industrial hand towel dispenser with googly eyes near the bottom to look like the dispensed hand towel is a tongue. A water spout with googly eyes on top to look like the spout is a long nose. The handle to dispense water looks kind of like a red hat. A silver kettle with googly eyes on the lid that makes the nozzle look like a nose. Kind of like an elephant.

my feed is now primarily discussing what “during covid” means, but in the most basic form of this convo: words have meaning.

you could say “i was in school during 2025,” but someone would go “so you mean this year…?” and then you’d have to clarify bc it’s still 2025.

there’s actually something called “disability affirmative therapy.” and of course there isn’t a TON of research, but there’s enough to show acceptance of disability leads to more therapeutic outcomes than CBT or trying to push through
