I thought people were overreacting to the rude label but mine was set to hide and not warn and I didn't even know it. Go check your moderation settings and make sure that they're what you want.
If you aren't seeing skeets from some of your fave people, they might have been labeled "Rude" by bsky mods. Idk what they are thinking, I don't need a mommy to tell me who to be buddies with. Anyway, go into Settings > moderation > bluesky moderation (advanced) and turn Rude off.

I do this and it works! specifically when my brain has latched onto something and I can't stop picturing it in increasing levels of detail and getting intensely upset
This sounds wacky but it is backed up by science.
3. If you see content that disturbs you, immediately (or as fast as possible) go and play 20-30 minutes of Tetris (or any other fast-paced game with your eyes sweeping over the visual field that has caused visual artifacts to linger when you close your eyes for you in the past).

Reminder that Bsky has a unique verification system already! If you are the admin of an official web domain, you can link that domain name to your account to make it your handle. Most big news orgs already do this. If an account claims to be a large media org but it has a bsky.social handle, be wary
As this website grows more popular, it's going to have more problems with this sort of thing. People pretending to be news organizations should be blocked, but ultimately I'd assume there's going to have to be some kind of verification system.
