Damp west coast dweller, wishing I had better mental health, and more time for music. Appian developer (since 2007), dual citizen of both the United States and Canada (alternately horrified and hopeful since G.W. Bush).
I have finally broken up with her. No more contact. Every day that passes = less pain.

That feeling when you find something cool and want to share it with your girlfriend.

The you remember you broke up and haven't figured out how to relate to each other now.

It is a beautiful morning I the Pacific Northwest, I walked into the sunrise on my way home, and thought, "Empire Cheetos did not fuck this part of my day up. Amen."

Am I just not seeing coordinated pushback on Project 2025?

What I really want is some democrat politician to neck a bottle of whiskey and take a swing at the nearest GOP politician. If it happens to be AOC vs. MTG I want ringside seats.

If it's AOC vs. JD Vance, I want money on it.

The cruel experiences I've had:

LGBTQ+ folk: none, cis women: some, cis men: uncountable.

I think we should judge people harshly for their cruelty, and better for their kindness.
This. A thousand times this.

Just read, "The giants of the Galtee Mountains." @blindboyboatclub.bsky.social - I was still laughing in my dreams after reading. Brilliant.

Last week, a production defect ruined my new code deployment. And my week.

This week, deploying a team-generated remedy is making my week great.

I should probably learn something from this. Seems unlikely, though.

I rearranged my music room/office. Everything hurts.

But it was almost two days where I didn't think about u.s. politics.

Best thing I read today; "God gave raccoons hands, but no shame."

On a thread this morning about messing with menstruation tracking apps. There were recommendations for people to use them chaotically.

One responder pointed out that was easy to filter. Realistic, but inaccurate data is better.

Heard.

Curiosity over a data problem is suppressing my generalized anxiety today.

Good morning Blue sky, from a slightly wind-damaged west coaster. I'm sitting in my car on a ferry on a quest to find power, internet and tea. Not necessarily in that order.

Become ungovernable. Don't bow pre-emptively.

Be a lighthouse for those that need one, and look for other lighthouses.

I generally don't remember my personally solar anniversaries, but I think this one will be filed under, '... the one before things got really bad.'

I hope I'm wrong.

So, putting it out there for skeeters; is there a methodology/platform/tool that allows you to share moral/ethical/societal questions, get feedback and get the best answers to bubble to the top?

Sorted for say, empirical accuracy before popularity?

Costco is a solid cross section of my region, and one hell of an empathy signaller.

I generally like interacting with strangers as much as friends.

Then I go to Costco.

I've stayed out of the news, but some has filtered in. Can I reasonably expect a cabinet posting if I open the right cracker Jack box?
