In light of recent events, if you are an international student, are you considering not enrolling in a US college or university?

Someone shared this with me the other day, and it’s a great example of why college admissions has gotten more difficult at schools that were not considered competitive a generation ago

Well, at least they had a winning record
I am very clearly not saying Morey is free from criticism or that the team is currently in good standing. My initial post was about the idea the Sixers were trending in the right direction before he took over, which is categorically untrue
Don’t think Morey is free from criticism or that it’s outlandish to compare the two when you factor in where the team currently stands.

My general assessment of the college landscape for the future college class of 2029 is that, unsurprisingly, it’s gotten even more difficult to gain acceptance into selective colleges.

Trump isn't leaving. I don't know why people aren't taking it more seriously. He isn't joking about staying for a 3rd or 4th term. Sigh.

One-year-ahead and five-year-ahead inflation expectations rose in the University of Michigan consumer survey to 3.3% and 3.2%, respectively.

"Concerns over the future trajectory of inflation were visible throughout the interviews and were tied to beliefs about anticipated policies like tariffs."

No, when he says paying the US government he’s actually talking about the company paying him directly as a bribe. This is always how he thinks.
Can someone remind me what it’s called when the government seizes private businesses?

Parents/Relatives,

Do the teenagers a favor this holiday break and don’t directly asked them where they applied and got accepted in front of others. Let them decide which colleges they want to talk about and to whom.

If you were one of the 30 international students admitted to Emory out of the 1200+ they accepted overall, you’ve got to be feeling pretty good.

I would expect new countries to be added to the list
“A travel ban is likely to go into effect soon after inauguration....Kyrgyzstan, Nigeria, Myanmar, Sudan, Tanzania, Iran, Libya, North Korea, Syria, Venezuela, Yemen, and Somalia. New countries could be added to this list, particularly China and India.”

If any of you are parents of teenagers applying to college, just know that they’re going through some things right now as they’re waiting for decisions to be released. Just know that their decision is out of their control, and don’t press them to “find out” or “find out why”.
