We know that Autism and ADHD are diagnoses are not just a trend or for fakers because the rates of formal diagnoses have gone up dramatically (especially for women). Clinicians don't give out diagnosis willy-nilly: There's a rigorous, time-consuming and expensive assessment process.

I believe that #NDIS should move away from its focus on "capacity building" and it (not the States) should provide "foundational supports".

In the sense of Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs; I think #NDIS should be meeting people's foundational physical and safety needs. [Spoilers: It's often not].

The thing with clinicians working with patients on “pacing” programs is they may turn into “pacing up” if you’re not disciplined about it. It shouldn’t turn into graded activity by another name. A clear understanding and expectation of the program is required for both the patient and the clinician.

Many disabled & chronically ill people are feeling left behind by those who've left Twitter. Concerns range from not having enough spoons to make transition, not knowing where to go and fears they won't be able to find their people once they get there.

How can we ensure no one gets left behind?

Please read and sign this position. People with ME and other energy limiting chronic illness are NOT lazy. They can’t WILL themselves better.

If you push them - it causes devastating harm.

It’s junk science, bad medicine and it needs to stop.
Cochrane is stubbornly refusing to withdraw the 2019 review recommending exercise therapy for ME/CFS despite being supplied with ample evidence that it doesn't work and causes harm for #pwME with post exertional malaise.
