To all the trans men who need to hear it, it is totally okay to be a man. Testosterone does not make you evil. Transitioning doesn't make you a traitor to feminism. It's not internalized misogyny. Most men are good people, even if the bad ones get the most attention.

Not really asking, though, when they are required to accept, is it? Just call the middle school girls at this school what they are - objects for boys' pleasure. Absolutely disgusting.

It's very simple. If you're choosing your fondness for fictional books over the suffering of a group of marginalized people, you are not safe. So...here's the thing. Being misgendered hurts. It hurts a lot. And it's pretty well known that we are hurt by being misgendered. And there is a very significant number of people who live solely for the idea of hurting people. So.. we become a big, easy target. They enjoy hurting us and live for it.

I used to wonder what life was like in the world before color was invented and everything was in black and white.
Now, I know that no one really noticed, considering I'm looking back at the 80s and 90s and realize everything was naturally blurry, but I didn't have a clue. 😂

I had this just last night at the restaurant with my wife. We were in a small section with a lot of other people, and it was a struggle because every noise was equally loud. I had to close my eyes just to try to focus on her words alone. I can't imagine anyone hearing any other way.

I feel awful that autistic people are getting caught up in the trans hate. I am certain they see it as a way to target us through them, and it's incredibly unfair. I'm autistic and I know lots of other trans people who are. There's a connection there. But.. they shouldn't be targeted. At all. Ever.

Many people I talk to think I can just stop being trans. That is the root of a lot of the evil. They think I choose it and it's at best an inconvenience to not be a woman for me. They don't understand I can't turn it off and I was waiting to die when I tried to. Ignorance. Fucking ignorance.

Hey allies and trans-adjacent. A recommendation: If you know a trans person, check on them. If they say they are okay, they probably aren't. Affirmation, support, inclusion, recognition.. most of us need these things desperately right now and can be easily and feely given. We're really not okay.
