Well said @elliechowns.bsky.social
Nuclear weapons are weapons of mass destruction - and by upgrading ours, we send a signal that it’s acceptable for all other countries to seek to acquire them too, making the world far less safe
In the Chamber today I challenged the govt’s so called “defence” spending plan—a whopping £15 billion on nuclear weapons that must never be used.

That money could be used to deliver real security: affordable housing, strong public services, climate resilience, and pandemic preparedness.

✏️ I’ve written to Transport for London about the Silvertown Tunnel cycle shuttle.

It’s not empty, but the real issue is the lack of safe, direct cycle routes to and from it.

TfL promised better access, but people cycling still face long detours, poor signage and unsafe junctions.

The @thegreenparty.bsky.social believes that society’s richest, I'm talking about the multi-millionaires and billionaires, should pay a bit more in tax to invest in our country.

If you believe millionaires like Tice & his mates should pay more tax, join.greenparty.org.uk.
