Or when you're petting the two cats that you are catsitting, and scritching one and just for a moment not the other... and The Other gently reaches over and grabs your hand and pulls it toward him. So you can resume your proper job.
i have never had a cat who headbutts me before and she does it so gently, just a little boop on the arm as she curls up over a thigh, “hey bud i know your hands are busy typing but i could use them also maybe if you have a minute,” i love it so much

You stayed put, right? Warm little noggins are important fixtures in life.
Need to get up to turn off the fan but the little dog is snoozing with his warm little noggin nuzzled into my arm. You see my dilemma

So it's very fortunate that he found someone to love him and let him cling. Love really does cure a *lot*.
This is the clingiest boy in the whole world. Seriously, he cannot sit alone. Ever.

Doing your job, yes?
Woke up at 0430. Girlfriend has inexplicably not acquired livestock for me to feed. Her cat was on verge of starvation though so I gave him smol snack. He purred loudly to show appreciation.

But when it's raining out front, is it *still* raining out back? He's onto you ;-)
Having to open the front and back doors to prove to the cat that it's raining on both sides 🙄

Legitimate worry. Also, "no or fewer children" is an interesting concept.

Yes! USE the empty real estate we see all over the place. Convert to apartments or shelters. Not a perfect solution? If you come up with that let us know. Meanwhile let's do something concrete to help!
Transform all those office buildings in homeless shelters.
There is no better deal.
Return-to-office mandates at some of the most powerful tech companies — Apple, Microsoft and SpaceX — were followed by a spike in departures among the most senior, tough-to-replace talent, according to a case study published last week.

What a sweetie! I didn't have to see any info about you to realize you are a cat person. This pic is a true real cat. Very cool!
My first post on Bluesky, so here's one of my recent pencil commissions from Etsy of this very sweet kitty cat 😁

But it was on purpose. He looked at you and said clearly, "I meant to do that." Right?
guess who fell off the bed right before this picture

It's (almost) as big as you! Very cool :-)
My new bike!

And one more time (then I'll shut up) - who could resist those faces? One, they're both gorgeous. Two, this pic looks like Mischief Coming Your Way to me!

Who could resist those faces?! Wonderful!

Oops. Somebody noticed :-)
What happened, Clarence?

Thank you to the rescuers! So good to hear stories like this :-)

Well said, Trevor!

When we first brought our two dogs home (border collie/sheltie puppies, 3 months old) they walked in the door, the senior cat just looked at them and they said "yes sir". Never one cat/dog problem with them :-)
Oh totally. I’ve two dogs and he just hisses at them and they hide from him.

And makes himself totally right at home, yes? As he should :-)
I don’t have a cat but you can see the cat that sometimes visits my house.

I mean come on, that's the job, right?

Share your pic! No one even noticed the hairy ottoman (and if they have pups they totally get it), or the licked-on window... and he's a boy dog with a dong. Goes with the territory!
Standing up, he is as tall as her sitting on something. He looks impossible.

This is one of my favorite pics because it illustrates their bond, but I don't share it much because of 1) the hairy ottoman 2) the filthy licked-on window 3) the visible dong

"It's a tough job, but somebody's got to do it!"
I'm going to stay here in the kitchen and stare at Mom until she comes in here and makes something good.

You're doing what you're supposed to! Hey, when I was a kid (3 girls in the fam) we always had to help with the dishes after supper. Except when "I can't get up, the cat's on my lap". (Didn't work with my mom of course, but for us girls that was an accepted reason to not get out of the chair!)
Sat down on the floor with the puppy for just a few minutes. Now what am I supposed to do?

Thank you for helping him, it matters!
A baby squirrel approached me for help yesterday. Honey Bunny was not impressed. Now we're taking a little nap. (I plan on surrendering him once the wildlife shelter opens) #petpics #catpics

I dunno, the "young readers" I know (including me a long time ago) were definitely ready for more complex stories. Kids have brains yknow!
It takes stamina and ability to be a Dr Who fan, you know. Just saying.
