I was wearing this possible snacks sweatshirt when I ran into this neighborhood hangaround guy I know, asks me to get him some food at 7/11 and I say sure, but he has a condition that makes it hard to understand his speech, so we used my sweatshirt as a pictogram to ballpark what he wanted, lol

OKAY I DID IT mostly packed for tomorrow, still only have a nebulous idea of how to ~do~ tomorrow, but that’s the best I got. Have some lil wedding espresso cup glaze samples as a treat for being awake
Eight espresso cups in various shapes, all between 2-3 inches in size. The ask was something drippy and rose gold esque, so the colors are pale pastels and neutrals with bands of pink around the rims

I might just survive this week - my kiln adjustments worked… FOR NOW. basically, you use these lil cones that bend at different temps to figure out how hot it is and want the center cone to dip so it’s parallel w the shelf. Left is not hot enough, right is a lil too hot but generally what we want!
nine pottery witness cones in 3 rows of 3 - they look like long fingernails of glaze that bend over when the kiln hits certain temperatures. You want the center cone to be bent over. Here, only the first cones in the row are bent, meaning it hit the temp level below what I want, but missed the center temp I wanted because the center cones are pretty straight up and down three pottery witness cones still inside my kiln. Here, the first one is melted because the kiln got hotter than that temp, the center cone is bent over so the tip is just touching the shelf so it’s actually a little over the ideal temp bc the tip should still be in the air, and the last cone is a little bent over because it got up to the higher temps but not enough to bend the cone all the way over. This is what we want!

focusing mostly on non-denom ornaments for paint-your-own-pottery, both to cast a wide net and to avoid having to differentiate between like 10 identical child-painted candy canes, lol
flat ceramic ornaments in wintery shapes - mittens, gift tags, marquee type signs, sweaters, and that holiday favorite: cat butts hand built ceramic ornaments in conical tree shapes and mushroom shapes very small ceramic teacups, roughly an inch to two inches in size, that will be used as holiday ornaments. Or as tiny teacups! The world is your oyster!

help me, internet: if you were painting a mitten ornament, which direction would you want the ornament to hang? feels like there is a wrong answer somehow, but WHICH

11 hand built ceramic pinch pot teacups in progress. They look like typical teacups, but rough and wiggly because they’re pinched from balls of clay. Roughly an inch and a half in size, next to a life size strawberry for scale, which is like 2/3rds the size of a cup
