3p won't put people off driving, and lower costs of running an EV mean motoring amounts will INCREASE.
As feared, the Chancellor has not raised the financial costs of driving to drivers.

I note that media commentary indicates that to do so would be "political suicide" - which reminds me of my mentor Professor John Adams saying that the alternative was actual suicide - or at least serious

The word from @phil-pja.bsky.social is that the part of TSRGD which permits zebras across cycle tracks without Belisha beacons and zigzags is simply being extended to side roads. Easy! UK Department for Transport, take note.

serious environmental (global and local) and public health damage. Also, the absence of raising the price of diesel and petrol means less uptake of EVs and revenue from the paltry 3p per mile charged. The fuel duty freeze will end next Spring, but this will just mean an increase in line with
