One of my goals for 2026 is to spend much less on video games and the hobby. I've spent FAR too much money trying to keep up with the industry and it's really becoming a money pit at this stage in my life.
Time to ACTUALLY enjoy the things I've purchased, rather than spending to spend.

I've been playing Live A Live this past week and...it's okay. It's fun, for what it is. I thought the quick stories would be great, and they are, but...I'm also realizing that one of the things I love about RPGs is the character/story development and this doesn't leave time for that.

All due respect, but...if you continue to see the product that LRG shells out and you STILL decide to give them your money...it's tough feeling sorry for folks.

So far this year, I've cancelled both my Sportsnet+ and Disney+ streaming subs after getting e-mails that services were being increased. In both instances, there was no justification or rationale for the increase in any comms.
Relieved to save over $500 over the next year, but also...$500? WOOF.

A Reindeer Game Worth Joining
I get it. When you see a Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer video game, it's become standard operating procedure to dismiss it as shovelware junk. I still recall the Wii game from 2010, and... yeah. I get it. But don't write off GameMill's game-- especially if you're a fan of the 1964 original movie. It's flawed, but certainly playable and... dare I say it?-- fun in spots.

I’ve stuck with this, and glad I have. The story has been enough to keep me invested until the end. Definitely curious to see where it goes.
Started playing Haven last week, but haven't gone back to it because I've been so busy.
It's good, but I think I'm looking for something a little more...intensive...at the moment. A great 'chill' game, but I think I need more right now.
