Here's a humbling thing that has happened to me a few times over the years: I try to write an opinion piece or argumentative take. For some reason, I can't crack it. I do draft after draft. Something isn't working. I don't know what.

really seems that all of these guys who come out of private equity or consulting have no idea how to actually run a sustainable business
This is actually a great story of short term thinking; increasing margins immediately using strategies that were very damaging long term for the brand
