There's plenty of demand for left-leaning economic populism among the British public.
The Green Party's proposal for a wealth tax on 1% of assets above £10m and 2% on assets above £1bn comes top of our list of tax reforms that Britons would support, with 75% giving it their backing

Made a ranking list of all of Britain's Prime Ministers that served at least 1.5 years a year and a bit ago. Recently looked at it again and tweaked it. Bumped Blair down to D tier and Cameron to the bottom 10 as he deserves.

Where Does Rishi Sunak Rank in the History of British Prime Ministers?
With the Conservative Party suffering a disastrous defeat at the 2024 UK general election, bringing to an end a hideously grim and destructive 14 years in Government, here’s how our outgoing …

Anyone remember Reform promising to go into their new councils with DOGE-style units to slash “waste” and stop taxes from rising? Yeah, it went exactly as you’d expect if you put people in charge who have no idea how anything works.

It might be time for leftists to reckon with the idea that Jeremy Corbyn killed the left movement in this country

Starmer and Company bending over to defend Mandelson is confusing until you remember they were put in the positions they were in by old egomaniac New Labour hacks like him who wanted one last day in the sun, and otherwise they'd be nowhere near power.

If we had Australia style preference voting and I was ranking my election choices tommorow:

1. Green
2. Lib Dems
3. Your Party
4. Labour
5. Conservative
6. Reform

Israel just targeted and successfully eliminated high level Hamas leadership in Qatar

This is evidence that starving & targeting innocent Gazans was completely unnecessary and likely radicalized millions of Palestinians - very poor strategy unless you need a distraction to stay in power

If you want to keep #FarageOut you need to help build a strong opposition to defeat him.

Pretending to be him isn't going to work.

So now it's basically fully proven that Trump is a nonce and a friend of Epstein, it remains to be seen whether this will cause one of the rare "below 40%" ratings for Trump before it rebounds once everyone forgets about it

Fascinating that back in September 2020 Chomsky predicted Farage emerging as the UK's next PM if Boris didn't live up to the right wings wishes. And people dismissed this as ludicrous at the time saying Farage would never even become an MP lmao

Elon Musk is a global purveyor of hate and disinformation and governments should treat him and his companies as such.
Simon Harris and his family have faced credible death threats in recent days.

This morning Elon Musk piles in by falsely claiming Harris is stopping McGregor from running for president.

Far too late but a good precedent from Spain
Spain has imposed a permanent ban on the sale of weapons and ammunition to Israel as part of a package of measures aimed at "stopping the genocide" in Gaza.

PM Pedro Sánchez announces that ships transporting fuel and planes carrying defense materiel to the country will be banned from Spanish ports and airspace.

1 huge reason why Tories didn't stop the boats. That’s Brexit, you mugs. Tories burned every deal with Europe, turned the Channel into a budget Uber, and left Farage wanking over a Union Jack. #ukpolitics

Demanding the instant release of ethnicities of suspects is just OBJECTIVELY racist and I've no fucking clue how we've reached this point where it somehow is not considered racist

The UK mostly has really good airports by the standards of their peers. I have never been to a British airport that was by any reasonable international standard 'bad'.
Honestly, I'm full Alan Partridge on this, Gatwick. Door to door from Crystal Palace in less than an hour. Direct access from the train station. Speedy security and if you're lucky you can use the monorail!
Actually, you know what? Let’s stop complaining for a second. QT this with a GOOD airport. Defend that title as much or as little as you like. But let’s hear about airports that don’t suck.
