Fascinating that back in September 2020 Chomsky predicted Farage emerging as the UK's next PM if Boris didn't live up to the right wings wishes. And people dismissed this as ludicrous at the time saying Farage would never even become an MP lmao

Sky and other media outlets continue to blatantly lie about Reform's polling demographics

The only demographic voting Reform continues to be middle aged-old white men. What do they even get by writing articles *pretending* that young people and women are supporting them?

The alt rights OBSESSION with Sydney Sweeney is further proof that being alt right has to be considered a serious mental condition

Half the people saying this would have a fair point if they didn't at the same time think Trump, Orban and Dubai are who we should be buddying around with

Fuck off Lisa Nandy, desperately hope you lose your seat in the next election to anyone other than Reform

1. PARASITE (2019)

While I personally wouldn't rate Parasite as a 5/5 and therefore not even close to best film of the century so far, I can't complain too much. It is an absolute gem of a social satire- 4.5/5

2. MULHOLLAND DRIVE (2001)

RIP David Lynch you magical man. This film is (as with Blood) more than worthy of being in the top 10. Endlessly rewatchable and haunting once you figure out what it's about- 5/5

3. THERE WILL BE BLOOD (2007)

PTA's second masterpiece (after Magnolia) and his best. Somehow epic in its scale despite relatively tiny events, this film shows what happens when greed, selfishness and contempt for humanity eats at the soul. DDL gives the best performance ever- 5/5

4. IN THE MOOD FOR LOVE (2000)

Well it's pretty great, very earnestly romantic and well acted but yeah, 4th best film of the 21st century? Must be missing something- 4/5

5. MOONLIGHT (2016)

A very important movie for anyone gay, black or with a horrible deprived childhood in general that has had a life of suffering. This film combines all that. Undeniably powerful, but just never stood out to me in any way beyond its subject matter- 3.5/5

6. NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN (2007)

Kinda in that category of undeniably great, but doesn't standout as masterpiece for me. A pretty much strongly faithful of Cormac's novel by the Coens, with their usual quirks sort of more subtly than usual added in- 4/5

7. ETERNAL SUNSHINE OF THE SPOTLESS MIND (2004)

What else is there to say? Brilliantly imaginative premise, heart-breaking, genius acting and the most honest film about romantic relationships ever made- 5/5

8. GET OUT (2017)

Apart from the slick social commentary I'm not sure what exactly makes Get Out stand out as this all time great horror. Obviously really good though- 4/5

9. SPIRITED AWAY (2001)

Absolutely overflowing on imagination, undeniably one of the great animated movies- 4.5/5

10. THE SOCIAL NETWORK (2010)

Undeniably a very well acted, scored, directed and very topical film. But despite my own personal hatred for Zuck, I can't really overlook the fact that for the most part the film is ahistorical junk sourced from a smear piece- 3.5/5

11. MAX MAX: FURY ROAD (2015)

Must confess that in a similar vein to Dunkirk, it doesn't hold up on rewatches. A masterful thrill ride I thought when I saw it at the cinema, but on re-watch it lacks as much substance despite some attempts at environmental/feminist themes- 3.5/5

12. THE ZONE OF INTEREST (2023)

A slam dunk for this list even though it only came out 2 years ago. Maybe my favourite Holocaust film of all time as it shows how NORMAL people committed these atrocities, and we MUST NOT forget that- 5/5

13. CHILDREN OF MEN (2006)

Yet another Cauron entry on here. A bit typical narratively now that I look back at it, but one with still a horrible yet scarily realistic look into a grim future- 4/5

14. INGLORIOUS BASTERDS (2009)

A very fitting placement I think. Tarantino's greatest masterpiece next to Pulp Fiction with some of the most boldly pulled off sequences in cinema and a hugely satisfying and purely Tarantino re-writing of World War II- 5/5

15. CITY OF GOD (2002)

A criminally LOW placement for the Brazilian Goodfellas which would comfortably make my top 10 and maybe top 5- 5/5

16. CROUCHING TIGER, HIDDEN DRAGON (2000)

If any action film was going to win best picture in 2000 it should have been this and not Gladiator- 4.5/5

17. BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN (2005)

Well it was certainly a more worthy Best Picture winner than Crash that's for sure. Heath Ledger with another all time great performance- 4.5/5

19. Y TU MAMA TAMBIEN (2001)

Cauron's best film and most worthy of being on this list. A stunningly humane and provocative road movie- 4.5/5
