I’m suddenly getting error notices every time I click on a NYT article saying I can’t read it because they suspect I’m a bot. I am, to be clear, not, but it does feel rather like my phone coming up with new and creative ways to keep my worst day-ruining impulses in check.

Really enjoying Apple Cider Vinegar on Netflix, though as a Maintenance Phase fan who counts the Belle Gibson episode among my favorites I do keep hearing @yrfatfriend.bsky.social say "Oh Michael, this is DARK!" every time there's a new plot development. @michaelhobbes.bsky.social

Hey so this year’s Covid booster is still available, in case anyone’s wondering, and also it’s not the worst idea for adults to check on whether their TDaP is up to date. Not that there would be any particular reason to amp up the urgency on that kind of thing right now.

Been doing some work on branding lately, and I gotta say, learning to see the weirder parts of my personality as assets rather than liabilities has been unbelievably freeing.
