Used to sell yarn. Then I sold bikes. Now I just sling coffee, knit, and try to stay sane.

It's absolutely wild how so long as enough people feel entitled to commit a crime, you can just make it illegal to enforce. Not actually change the law or raise the speed limits, just pass legislation to stop enforcement. Not on the grounds of social justice, but pure car brain entitlement.

I know this might come as a shock to you, it always does to you people, but making your entire social media presence revolve so heavily around "orange man bad" that you are berating people from, just to repeat myself, OTHER COUNTRIES about daring to post anything but "orange man bad" is bad for you.

The bike lane is always empty.
So are the ledges around the outside of the 20th floor of a skyscraper.

Here’s a blog post of theirs about the process to get you started, but it doesn’t break down costs of each step so maybe you won’t find it helpful. I also recommend the book “Consumed” by Aja Barber.

I don’t think spending my time doing napkin math on why the shirt costs that much is really going to help anyone here. You believe what you want. I’ve sewn my own garments, and even scaled up I can see why it would cost that much. Do your own research. Or don’t. I’m not obligated to spoon feed you.

You should probably unfollow if posts like this are going to send you into a rage. I am very much “pay smaller companies more and boycott big corps as much as possible”. Buy less. Buy better.

Of COURSE that isn’t possible for some people. That’s why I said “when you can”.

(They visited Peru to survey conditions and product for their fall sweater collection, so I don’t want to say EVERYthing is made in Canada. Paying a fair wage elsewhere still costs more too though.)

I said “when you can”. If you can’t, you can’t.

I’ve reached out to the company (sole proprietor as far as I know) to confirm, but last I read they have most items manufactured here in Canada. That’s an exponentially higher wage even at minimum than overseas. Their prices reflect that.
