Listening to some IR podcasts talk about Venezuela, and every one of them has said something like, “Even George W Bush got a UN resolution and Congressional approval.” Yeah, he did. With a HUGE PILE OF BULLSHIT!! I hate what Trump’s doing, but I don’t miss the pretence!

even if you are an anti-communist or have other issues with maduro, if your position is anything less than full-throated support for the venezuelan government on this matter you aren’t actually committed to the principles of sovereignty and self-determination
President Trump said that the airspace "above and surrounding Venezuela" was "closed in its entirety". In response, the Venezuelan government said his comments violate international law, and are a "colonialist threat" to its sovereignty. n.pr/4rl57f0

Honestly I hate to say it but no. Not the way it was. I don’t think it’s even a change in direction generally or that the brand is ruined. Just too much coming out for so long, the burdens of avoiding stories for the sake of the ST, all culminating in TROS just not being worth it. It hits different
