I gotta give it up to the writers tho. If NYC elects a Muslim mayor on the day Dick Cheney died, that is one hell of a slow played story arc. Every time you want to fire 2025's writers room they give you a little narrative resolution as a treat.

Lots of leftover candy the past few years and suddenly this year a SURGE of wondrous Trick or Treaters and omg we just ran out of candy!!! 😱😱😱 Huddling in the dark and sending up apologies to all the Samhain spirits 😬💀

This was all I could think about this morning- how the NOAA hurricane hunter pilots and researchers are true heroes- flying directly into a monster storm while they are wondering how they are going to pay their mortgage and buy groceries. Public servants deeply committed to their mission.

Hopefully the one thing that comes from all this is that more Americans realize the extent to which so many public sector workers are fucking heroes.

As soon as the Portland Frog became a meme, Jewish social media blew up with jokes about the 2nd Passover plague - tzefarde'a (frogs) - and the Rabbinical commentary around it. I knew I had to make a calligraphy piece encompassing all of it. (more in alt.)
