Wild how people get so mad at Spotify, but over on Soundcloud you actually have to __pay__ as an artist to have your music on there, and if you miss a payment they take all your music offline until you give them another 100€, with absolute zero customer support available when it inevitably breaks.

I built this hilarious device to go running with, because not a single headphone manufacturer for "sport" seems to consider the fact that (a) people sweat, including in their ears and (b) people doing sport often move around a lot.

For all the people shouting "boycott Spotify" there sure as hell aren't that many people actually buying albums instead. Spotify still by _FAR_ my number 1 source of royalties, so until y'all fans start actually buying stuff on Bandcamp or whatever instead maybe STFU with your performative BS.

Looking around the streets of Prenzlauer Berg at 10pm on a Friday, one does very much get the impression that the Berlin teenagers are rebelling against their cool alternative parents by being the most boring mainstream people imaginable.

I know we all have a _little_ bit of a crush on @zackpolanski.bsky.social but please Daily Mail, there's no need to gush over him this much. Keep it professional.
Are the right ok?

This is next level of "journalistic* " slop.

Past 2 months I've been programming a synth plugin: CRYPT. It's made for the fattest supersaws you've ever heard while not killing your CPU. It's free to download at www.vitling.xyz/crypt . If you make music then get it, if you know someone who does then send it to them <3 #musicproduction #synth

It's hard to believe Labour can be this stupid no? People are flocking to @greenparty.org.uk precisely because Labour is doing shit like this: smear campaigns, reactionary hate soundbites, idiotic posturing. It's just a game to them, they don't care about anyone's actual life.

When starting programming I loved that I could accomplish things by carefully decomposing problems into elegant abstractions and solving them predictably and repeatably at great scale with minimum resources. AI turns this neatly on it's head by making computing inexact, ugly and expensive.

Please, after Nadine Dorres, can more universally despised Tory politicians please join Reform? It's gonna do wonders for people to wake up and realise they're being sold exactly the same shit again.

I'm avoiding reposting graphic images but I do want to record for posterity: we are watching a people being deliberately starved in real time and the best our governments have to offer are "stern words": humanity has lost, the monsters are in charge.

It is absolutely flabbergasting how the news media, even supposedly left-leaning, is still using passive voice to avoid saying "Israel deliberately murdering starving civilians seeking food en mass" by using the phrase "people have died while seeking food". What the actual fuck @theguardian.com
