That's what they mean when they say he "tells it like it is" -- not that he's reporting empirical truth (that's lib thinking), but rather that he's letting that interior ugliness out into the world, without apology. "Everyone is like this, he's just brave enough to be open about it."

I hate that AI has made me approach cute animal videos with an air of suspicion. I resent having to harden my heart to the possibility of an unlikely friendship between a very large dog and a very small one

Truth be told, this campaign has been extremely useful for underscoring how racism is also inherent in the Democratic party. Not outside of it but within it.

@zohrankmamdani.bsky.social has already proven that nothing changes unless we change it.

Today, by joining Zohran and voting YES on Proposals 2 through 5, New Yorkers are wielding the power of our votes to change the course of our city’s future. @opennewyork.org

“it’s a power grab” is starting to get on my nerves re: the NYC ballot proposals because it’s not really much less democratic for the mayor, who everyone votes for, to have more power vs. having Bed-Stuy’s housing pressurized because Manhattan districts are full of NIMBYs they can’t vote out

LETS GOOO
NEW: The OneLIC plan has been approved by the @Council.nyc.gov Zoning Committee!!!

This will bring over 14,000 new homes — including over 4,000 permanently affordable — to a transit-accessible area of Long Island City. This is NYC's largest neighborhood rezoning in decades.

Don’t leave it to chance. Don’t get complacent because some polls look good for Zohran. Go vote and get your (Mandani-supporting) friends to vote. Make his win look like a mandate.

let's take a moment to appreciate what this goofy city council mailer is really saying: we can't get transit upgrades, parks, school upgrades etc unless a condo developer is involved.

A physician using the bike lane was was killed on this exact same street by a driver pulling this move more than a year ago. The city has done jack shit to address it.
Absolutely deadly behavior causing another crash on Spruce Street at 5th st early this morning. This is on the busiest bike lane in Philly with over 1,500 riders who use it daily.

We deserve so much better than paint and flexposts, we deserve real protection.

it’s honestly crazy how the New York City council, at the behest of speaker Adrienne Adams, is illegally spending millions of your taxpayer dollars on an unhinged NIMBY propaganda campaign

if you live in NYC vote YES on measures 2-5 to make it easier to build affordable housing
