There are a lot of issues on voters' minds in Wisconsin, and one of the big ones is generatve AI and the data centers that power them that are popping up all across the state. TIME visited Wisconsin and heard what @francescahongwi.bsky.social had to say about it! 👀

The People vs. AI
Across red states and blue, a grassroots movement is pushing back on the unchecked growth of the artificial intelligence industry.

Funding our schools is a shared responsibility. Local property taxes go up when the state fails to do its part.

The Legislature rejected over $7 billion for schools that I requested over four budgets. If lawmakers want to get serious about property taxes, start there.

Finally.

The people of Wisconsin have been asking Legislative Republicans to pass postpartum medicaid expansion for years and years and years.

You all did it! Tonight, after months of relentless advocacy, the Republicans caved in tonight and will bring up Gail’s Law expanding breast cancer screening and post-partum Medicaid expansion up for a vote tomorrow. If they’re clean bills, they will be passed and signed into law.

It sure would be nice to have a blue trifecta in Wisconsin so we can pass Gail’s law and postpartum Medicaid expansion….and so our democratic lawmakers have WAY less stressful days! 💜

NEWS: Assembly Republicans left the Capitol mid-session to attend a fundraiser at the Madison Club hosted by Jobs First Coalition.

This comes as Assembly Democrats are working to force votes on two bills that have been blocked by Speaker Robin Vos.

The WI Socialist Caucus took a break from an Assembly floor session -- that's still happening, as of 7:53pm! -- to share the following:

The WI Assembly is ready to pass:
-Gail's law (AB 263), expanding early breast cancer screenings
-A postpartum Medicaid care extension (1/2)

Soooo….this is Bluesky?

I’m used to Threads, you’ll hafta forgive me! I’m still over there too, but my human friends said I had to ✨expand my horizons✨

Anyways, I’m a neurodivergent badger so we will see if I can multitask

Oh look, cheese! 👀🧀

Rep. Gwen Moore knows that the SAVE Act won’t save a damn thing.

Whose rights are at risk?
✅Married women
✅Anyone who has changed their name
✅Anyone with a Tribal ID and nothing to verify their place of birth
✅Anyone who wants to register to vote via mail or online

This act saves nothing.
