Merry Christmas 🎄

One of the many stalls at the venue of the SCCS conference, had this collection of insects. I spent quite some time looking at this,mesmerized by the colours. I was told that some of these are edible species.

I attended one long session on Bioacoustics, and the researchers played call recordings for us to identify. I enthusiastically answered "Frog!" for a lot of the recordings played. It was so funny that I said "Insect!" the one time and it was a frog call recording😆

I attended a tree walk during one of the days of the conference, and saw a magnolia tree. Missed seeing the flowers. It had seeds though.

The nature journaling session in the morning at SCCS was good, now I think I should continue doing sketches.

Last week was in Bangalore for the SCCS conference at IISc. Was so good to see the researchers whose posts I see on SM, in person!

I spent my morning doing nothing and now I have a million things to do this afternoon.
So I’m typing this instead of starting them.
