Whenever I see "AI ethics concerns" it's always crap like "should Claude have a social security number?!" and not "should OpenAI all be in jail for marketing ChatGPT like it's your friend and designing it to prioritize continuous engagement above all else?"
Oh yeah, Blake Lemoine basically got addicted to talking to the chatbot, personified it, then asked it a bunch of existential questions, to which it regurgitated mashups of 2001 and I, Robot.

Im tied to a chair in some damp basement somewhere in the american midwest. The cop slides another Meta Neuroreader headset on me. I immediately fry it by visualizing Karl Franz's warhammer wiki page in a weaponized shotgun blast of autism, wasting $12,000. This is the third time I've done this.
