Thunder vs. Pacers: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander takes his place in NBA Finals lore as he saves the series and OKC's season
Gilgeous-Alexander scored 15 of his game-high 35 points in the last 3:52 — the most by a player in the last five minutes in the NBA Finals since 1971 — to even the Finals at 2-2.

New for @yahoosports.bsky.social: Adam Silver didn’t realize how much the Finals on-court signage meant to fans in the arena and watching on television.

There is a solution the league should consider for the future, to keep building nostalgia
Pacers vs. Thunder: On-court NBA Finals logo needs to return to give the event the special feel it deserves
The visual of the logo makes the moment feel big, and the NBA should focus on making moments feel bigger — especially for a television audience.

That guy would say that’s not a real argument. But boom
I am a longtime Scottie appreciator, but any disrespect toward Isiah is misdirected (and always strikes me as inauthentic). Dominant player on a team with playoff series wins over Bird, Magic and Jordan. Obviously could have put up stupid numbers on a team playing a different style.

I’m here for that party!

Here’s what I’ll acknowledge to @sethpartnow.bsky.social, Pippen’s play in the 93 ECF, most importantly the “Smith, Smith stripped, Smith stopped, Smith stopped again” was damned impressive
Wait, are we allowed to finally acknowledge the full Pippen experience now?

The frailty of Anthony Edwards’ right ankle, or strength of it, stood between the Minnesota Timberwolves feeling like the Larry O’Brien trophy is open for anyone to claim, or misery — not just for one night but for their future.

On fragility, frailty and more, encapsulated in one scary moment
Anthony Edwards' injury scare shows fragile nature of NBA playoffs — and how it could all come down to one star
One game after Steph Curry's injury, we were about to lose another star. But, luckily, Anthony Edwards is OK, and the Timberwolves have as good a shot as anybody to win it all.

You brought up Scottie! I didn’t!
You started it with your Scottie slander on a Friday morning
May 9, 2025 at 5:43 PM
Don’t do this. I beg of you
Magic, Steph and we’re already done before I even start to argue about *waves hand at other pantheon PGs*
Zeke as the 2nd best pg of all time is a WILD take.
May 9, 2025 at 5:42 PM
You think I’m here to actually argue with you. I’m not.

Have a good day

One guy built a franchise. One guy rode somebody else’s coattails.

But you’re so right. Have a good one
May 9, 2025 at 5:15 PM
Wild to not use the Bad Boys slower style, which stifled his individual stats and All-NBA’s to discredit Isiah.

When the Pistons needed Isiah to rise above, he did it. When the Blazers needed Scottie to be more than den father…

4th quarter, 2000 WCF, Game 7
Scottie's counting stats are skewed by his long plateau as den father/camp counselor for Portland. WILD to use that to say he's better than Isiah.
May 9, 2025 at 5:15 PM
Scottie had a seven year prime, man. He was cooked by 98, damn near. And if you’re looking at Isiah’s basketball reference page and not his teammates or the style of play or the damn winning, you are missing it all
May 9, 2025 at 5:09 PM
All in! Should be beneath him but it wasn’t
Dude going all in on a guy who bailed on his team in a game 7, and sulked when coach didn't call his number.
May 9, 2025 at 4:54 PM
You got it man. Can you please leave me alone
The MVP voting is what it is. Pippen reached the level of elite 1 that Thomas simply didn't. That's the best v. best barometer.
May 9, 2025 at 4:35 PM
Thank you, I appreciate it. I will be on here more
I believe this is the first skeet I've seen of yours - after sewing how many posts you've made (131) it isn't my lack of attention. Good piece on Edwards and the Wolves (great Conley memories)
May 9, 2025 at 4:17 PM
Peak nonsense!
The nonsense is on high today huh
May 9, 2025 at 4:17 PM
The standard you said, where his “best” was better than Isiah’s… which is patently ridiculous.

Funny how you don’t mention him leading the Bulls to a below .500 record before he started begging Jordan to come back again.

Please leave me alone
He pretty much missed the entire first month, and the falloff from, [checks notes] losing prime MICHAEL JORDAN, was 2 games. What the hell standard are you holding him to?
May 9, 2025 at 4:15 PM
One person got their rings with Jordan’s blood on them, the other got them courtesy of Air Jordan jewelers
Yeah, crazy thinking the guy with more championships, all-NBA's, WS, and god knows what else was better.
May 9, 2025 at 4:10 PM
And that got him where? To the ECF in a weak East? Oh… you mean losing a Game 7 in the second round.

Please, this isn’t in your weight class
Prime '93-94 Pip was better than Isiah Thomas's best.
May 9, 2025 at 3:35 PM
That’s cute but I’m not taking your bait!!
Since we’re out here saying hurtful things, Scottie > Isiah.
I mean… ain’t that the equivalent of turning water into wine?
