Approximately 599 lobbyists were brought in by our national governments, known as "parties" in UN speak. They used "Party overflow badges" that allow access to behind-the-scenes government-only areas of the U.N. climate negotiations. Perfect if you want to delay or disrupt climate action.

Major trade associations remain a primary vehicle for fossil fuel influence, with the International Emissions Trading Association bringing 60 representatives, including delegates from oil and gas giants like ExxonMobil, BP, and TotalEnergies.

Fossil fuel companies like Equinor and E.ON have received two thirds more passes to #COP30 than all the delegates from the 10 most climate-vulnerable nations combined, highlighting how industry presence continues to overshadow that of those on the frontlines of the climate crisis.

The Philippines and Jamaica are still reeling from devastating typhoons and hurricanes, but their delegations at #COP30 have been outnumbered by fossil fuel lobbyists by nearly 50 to 1 and 40 to 1 respectively.
