Perhaps Europe should show the lack of eu benefits to Orban,????
The EU needs to respond decisively to Orban. He's a malignant influence on the European project.
🚨🚨 "Orbán’s new threat: I’ll end Russia sanctions unless Ukraine pumps Putin’s gas". One of the most despicable politicians in Europe continues on his path of creating division and European disunity. 🧵

If you still have a Twitter or threads account, start encouraging more people to join Blue Sky, especially if you are European. Twitter (X) is being used to manipulate elections globally and suppress information.

Post at least once a day, encouraging others to join. #bluesky

On Elon Musk’s repeated attacks on Keir Starmer’s government Sky’s @samcoatessky.bsky.social rightly points out

I remember during the Brexit referendum that leading Brexiteers *insisted* that they were not isolationists and little Englanders.

They *were* team players, but it was just the EU was wrong.

But then they wanted out of Single Market… then ECHR…

…and now UN and ICC too.

They are not team players.

I’ve mentioned this before, but if you’re short on cash but have an urge to shop, go to your library digital apps and browse the books, audiobooks, movies, shoes, magazines. It works really well to give you the same feeling without spending the cash. (Plus you’re supporting public libraries.) 💙📚

MPs have launched a review into pensioner poverty after the government admitted the cut to winter fuel payments could force 100,000 people into poverty

Surely this is exactly the sort of review which should have taken place before MP’s were asked to vote?

Martin Lewis says the winter fuel payment should have been extended to those pensioners with around “£20,000-25,000” annual income

This is awful & heartbreaking. Schoolchildren from struggling families have pretended to eat out of empty lunchboxes to save their embarrassment at having no food.
