Had a routine MRI yesterday. Silly me, I forgot to ask the doctor what she was concerned about or what she was looking for. I even forgot to ask which part of my body she was looking at. Oops!

Just found out my pancreas doesn't work but have no deficiencies! Why? I have a sneaking suspicion it's my love of #fermented food. Perhaps? Trying to learn more about enzymes and why the current exocrine pancreatic insufficiency (EPI) field is so gross and outdated. It'll be about profit, I'm sure.

Spector notes that “all vegetables are good for you, so if you ferment them, they’re even better.” The important thing is to have a small amount most days rather than have a big splurge once every two weeks: “If we did that we’d all have healthier gut microbes.”
