Liberals who argue that fascists such as Trump and Le Pen should not be barred from running elections by legal means (and must instead be 'defeated democratically') seem to forget that fascists have no intent to win democratically (and break the law precisely to assure that they won't be defeated).

Most contemporary discussions of markets vs planning are too stark and simplistic. To think seriously for the future, we need a richer and more nuanced approach. Angus Hebenton & I make a start here: engaging with the unduly neglected work of Meade, Holland, and Wootton.
