Does anyone have suggestions for a language learning app that doesn't use gen ai? Preferably with Mexican Spanish and not Spanish Spanish. The whole duolingo debacle was disheartening, but I'm ready to start back up. I have some leads, but I was wondering if anyone uses one that they really like.

My most authoritarian opinion is that if your movie is over 2 hours long, you should be legally required to provide a 10 minute intermission mid movie.

We live in a hell hole where the rich can bypass all immigration for 5 mil, but people actively going through the citizenship process are being kidnapped from their court hearings and sent to torture prisons. I fucking hate it here.

The only reason prisons are able to pay incarcerated individuals less than minimum wage is because the 13 amendment exempts punishment in prison from the prohibition on slavery. They're legal slaves.
That doesn't apply to civil detention for immigration. It's blatantly unconstitutional.
